Gay has been a resident of the Reservoir area for over 30 years. She is married to Bobby Waites and they have two daughters. Julie Burran and Andrea Edwards and three grandchildren.
Gay is an active member of St. Paul Catholic Church where she was Director of Education for seven (7) years an has served on the Pastoral Council. Gay is also past President of the Women's Guild at St. Paul and a volunteer for the St. Dominic Ministry. She is a volunteer for the March of Dimes Mothers' March and is a past member of the Brandon-Reservoir Junior Auxiliary.
Gay grew up in the Delta (Greenville) and earned a BS in Ed. from the University of Southern Mississippi where she was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority. Gay has listed and sold residential real estate for over 12 years in the Metro Jackson Area and has been a million dollar and multi-million dollar producer.
